Recommended Most of our visitors use Chrome

Google Chrome — Listen to this page

Recent versions of Chrome can read any page aloud with no extension — built in on Android and newer desktop Chrome, with adjustable voice, speed, and text highlighting.

  1. 1

Open any JO EQUIP page in Chrome

Go to the article you want read aloud.
  2. 2

Open the menu and choose "Listen to this page"

Tap or click the three-dot menu () and select Listen to this page. A playback bar appears at the bottom — play, pause, skip, or change speed and voice from there.
  3. 3

Don't see the option? Use the free Read Aloud extension

On older desktop Chrome, install Read Aloud from the Chrome Web Store , then click its speaker icon on any page. Its settings offer Google, Microsoft, and Amazon voices.

Other devices & browsers

iPhone or iPad — Spoken Content

iOS and iPadOS have a built-in screen reader that uses high-quality Siri voices. You only need to enable it once.

  1. 1

    Enable Speak Screen (one-time setup)

Open Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content and turn on Speak Screen.
  2. 2

    Open any JO EQUIP page

In Safari, Chrome, or any browser — go to the article you want read aloud.
  3. 3

Swipe down with two fingers from the top

iOS will start reading the whole page aloud. A small playback controller appears so you can pause, skip, or speed up.
  4. 4

    Pick a better voice (optional)

In Spoken Content → Voices → English, the Siri and Premium / Enhanced voices sound the most natural. Tap to download them once for offline use.

Android — Select to Speak

Android phones include a built-in Google text-to-speech tool that can read any web page aloud with natural-sounding neural voices.

  1. 1

    Turn on Select to Speak

Open Settings → Accessibility → Select to Speak and turn it on. (On some phones it's under Settings → Accessibility → Installed services.)
  2. 2

    Open any JO EQUIP page

Then tap the small Select to Speak floating button (or the Accessibility button in your navigation bar).
  3. 3

Tap "Play all" or drag to select text

Tap the play arrow to read the whole page, or drag to highlight just a section.

Microsoft Edge — Read Aloud

Edge has a built-in Read Aloud feature with high-quality, natural-sounding neural voices. It's free, works on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android, and requires no signup or extra installs.

  1. 1

Open this site in Microsoft Edge

Don't have Edge yet? Download it for free
  2. 2

    Start Read Aloud

Right-click anywhere on the page and choose Read aloud, or press Ctrl + Shift + U. On article pages you can also click the Read aloud (open-book) icon on the right side of the address bar.
  3. 3

    Pick a voice and speed

Click Voice options in the playback bar at the top — choose any neural voice (the most natural ones are labeled "Natural") and adjust the reading speed to taste.
Heads up: These read-aloud features are built into your browser or device — we don't control them, so quality and voice availability vary by device and operating system. Theological terms and Hebrew/Greek names may not always pronounce perfectly — but for most articles, the experience is very natural.
